🇩🇪 Happy Ground Joins Climate Founders Accelerator – Jan 2024 Cohort 🌱

We’re excited to announce that Happy Ground was selected to join the Climate Founders Accelerator’s January–March 2024 cohort—an early-stage program supporting purpose-driven climate tech startups across Europe and Asia.

Climate Founders is a Berlin-based accelerator known for its hands-on approach to helping climate ventures refine their business models, sharpen their value propositions, and prepare for early fundraising. Joining the program has been an energizing and transformative experience for our team.

Building the Future of Biochar and Climate-Smart Agriculture

Happy Ground is on a mission to scale biochar-based carbon removal and regenerative agriculture through partnerships with smallholder farmers in Southeast Asia. We work at the intersection of:

• Carbon markets

• Supply chain decarbonization

• Farmer-led innovation in tropical agriculture

During our time in the Climate Founders accelerator, we focused on:

• Refining our go-to-market strategy for corporate supply chains

• Clarifying our impact metrics and co-benefits in carbon credit projects

• Strengthening our pitch and fundraising materials for the upcoming pre-seed round

The program helped us build a clear narrative that bridges the carbon credit ecosystem with the on-the-ground realities of farming in the Global South.

A Community That Supports Bold Ideas

One of the most valuable parts of the program was being surrounded by other climate founders who are also building category-defining solutions—from energy to circular economy, mobility to nature-based solutions. The shared commitment to climate justice, transparency, and systems change made every session and feedback loop more powerful.

“What made Climate Founders special was the thoughtful structure and the quality of feedback we received every week. It helped us ask the right questions, pressure-test assumptions, and feel more confident going into fundraising,” said co-founder Moh Suthasiny.

Looking Ahead

As we prepare to scale our operations and bring biochar carbon removal and insetting projects to more supply chains across Thailand and the region, we’re grateful to have Climate Founders in our corner. The support, community, and network they’ve built will continue to guide us as we grow.
