Delete Your Happy Ground Account

You can request the deletion of your Happy Ground account and associated personal data at any time.

How to request account deletion

Please email hello@happyground.org using the email address associated with your Happy Ground account.

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Please include your name and the organization associated with your Happy Ground account.

We may contact you to verify your identity before processing your request.

What happens to your data

Once your request has been verified, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account where required under applicable data protection laws.

This may include:

• Your name and contact information

• Your user profile and account information

• Personal preferences and settings

• Other personal information directly associated with your account

Data that may be retained

Some information may need to be retained where necessary for legal, regulatory, contractual, security, audit, or legitimate business purposes.

Happy Ground is also used by organizations to collect and manage agricultural and project data. Records you contributed to, such as farmer records, field observations, monitoring records, MRV evidence, photos, documents, and other project data, may belong to or need to be retained by the relevant organization or project.

Where appropriate, your personal identifiers will be removed or anonymized while those organizational or project records are retained.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including rights to access, correct, restrict the processing of, object to the processing of, or request deletion of your personal data.
